Megan Gregory is without a doubt one of the greatest female vocalists to ever breathe across a microphone and is a very accomplished fiddle player as well. She writes a lot of the material for the band in conjunction with Will Parsons. Megan also lights up the stage with her naturally occurring spunk and sparkle.
Will Parsons is without a doubt one of the premiere banjo players on the music scene today. Most recently he earned first place in the 2004 Merle Fest Banjo Championship. He has also played on many songs that have done well on the bluegrass charts and is no stranger to number one hits. A prolific songwriter and multi-instrumentalist he also does a lot of arranging and vocal work for the band. He and Megan are the founding members of Meridian.
Jeremy Arrowwood is the jolly and easy-going bass player that everyone wants to have. He might avoid our heated debates, but when it comes to the music he's right in the middle of it putting down the groove. He was born and raised in Cherryville, NC where he played jazz and classical music in high school. When he got bitten by the bluegrass bug he went and used his whole tax return on an acoustic bass. Besides performing Jeremy is a skilled carpenter , general contractor and auto mechanic (lucky us).
Aaron Jackson is our new and exciting guitarist who can really swing AND sing AND can also play the mandolin. He came from Quitman, Texas all the way over here to East Tennessee to join the ETSU Bluegrass and Country Music Program (like Megan). He has a background in jazz, swing and rock which enables him to play anything and pull the most amazing faces. He's traveled to England and Canada with the ETSU Pride Band and plans to do even more with Meridian!
